It is glorious to be saved by Jesus Christ, but it is also important to begin learning more about God and what it means to belong to him. You need to be a part of a healthy church where you can grow and serve others who are loved by God. There are a lot of churches around us today, but not all of them teach the truth, and not all of them operate in a biblical manner.
Finding a Church
Here is one article that might be helpful in discerning a healthy church. – 9 Marks of a healthy church.
Be careful of churches that teach a false gospel, which includes churches that teach that being a Christian means that you will be healthy or wealthy.

What to Read
The Bible – As Charles Spurgeon once said, “Read many good books, but live in the Bible!” The ESV version is a faithful and readable translation. Consider getting a study Bible to help you read; the Reformation Study Bible is a good option. If you have never read the Bible, start with the Gospel of John and then Ephesians or Romans. There are many good reading plans available, but make sure to read in context – read each letter or book completely through.
